Heidi Wiskur has been a pianist since age 5 when she began music lessons at Music-Arts Institute in Independence, Missouri. During her pre-college years, she received awards and commendations from several state and national competitions, and in 2006, she was invited to attend and perform in the Vladimir Spivakov Charity Foundation Arts Festival in Moscow, Russia. Heidi attended the Interlochen Arts Camp in Interlochen, Michigan the summers of 2005 and 2006, and received the Maddy Summer Artist Award for Artistic Excellence both summers.
Heidi received her Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from Indiana University in 2011, and worked as a collaborative and concert pianist and piano teacher in the Madison, Wisconsin area for several years before returning to Missouri. While living in Madison, she performed regularly with the Kat Trio, giving concerts state-wide and working at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a collaborative pianist/accompanist. She currently works as a professional piano teacher and freelance pianist, and resides in Kansas City with her husband Glenn, and four children.
